Aluminum chloride solution is mainly used as electrolyte in colloidal chemical systems, as precipitating and fixing agent. Therefore, its main applications are:

-Municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, for precipitating suspended solids, coloids, and reducing phosphorous. It can be used in a wide pH range.

-It’s used for treatment of bulking and foaming by filamentous bacteria.

-Paper and cardboard manufacturing.
